Students explore the natural world, its laws and how humans interact with it, while also considering the ways in which scientific and technological pursuits impact the natural world and alter our interaction with it. ![]() How do we understand the world in which we live?.Students explore the creative process and the ways in which human beings represent themselves and their various cultures through artistic means. What is the nature and purpose of creative expression?.Students explore the relationship between past and present in terms of both individual histories and the development of civilizations. What is the meaning of "where" and "when"?.Students explore the nature of the self, identity and human relationships within communities and cultures. The global contexts, which inform teaching and learning throughout the MYP, serve as a means of linking subjects to one another through focused inquiry. By inquiring into the big ideas of a range of academic disciplines, students are encouraged to both learn about subject matter in depth and to make connections between and among subject areas and between their classroom experiences and the world outside the classroom.
